Hawks Season Ends Early The
Walkerton Hawks season has come to an early end again. For the 5th
straight season the Alliston Hornets have defeated the Hawks in the OHA
Quarter Finals with a 5-4 come from behind win in Game 5. Alliston
wins the series 4-1. Scoring for Walkerton were Shane MacDonald(2),
Andy Mitchell and Ryan Stroz. Scoring for Alliston were David
Leblanc, Mike Campeau, Cole Parker, Mark O'Donnell and Randy Cox.
Jeff Flagler stopped 24 shots in the loss. Robbie Alsop made 23
saves in the win. Hawks Face Elimination, Must Win Wednesday The
Walkerton Hawks are facing elimination on Wednesday night as they dropped
Game 4 by a score of 4-2. Alliston needs to win 1 of the next 3
games to defeat Walkerton for a 5th straight season. Walkerton must win
all 3 games to advance to the Semis. Scoring for Walkerton were
Shane MacDonald and Haden Campbell. Scoring for Alliston were Mike
Campeau, Mark O'Donnell, Randy Cox and Eric Shannon. Jeff Flagler
took the loss making 29 saves. Robbie Alsop got the win making 30
saves. Hawks Trail Series 2-1, Look To Even At Home The
Walkerton Hawks find themselves trailing the OHA Quarter Finals by a 2-1
margin. Alliston took Game 3 on Friday night by a 6-2 score.
Walkerton jumped out to the early lead on a powerplay goal only to have
Alliston score the next 3. Walkerton got within 1, but that was as
close as it would get. This game could've easily been 10 or 11 to 2.
Alliston had several scoring chances but didn't finish. Jeff Flagler
was the difference in the game. If the team starts to play defensive
hockey, there could be a new series. Scoring for Walkerton was Drew
Davidson(2). Scoring for Alliston was Eric Shannon, Mike Campeau,
Cole Parker, Randy Cox, Bobby Sloan and Dakota Brooks. Flagler
stopped 38 shots for the loss. Robbie Alsop picked up the win making
22 saves. Hawks Take Sting Out Of Hornets The
Walkerton Hawks took a little sting out of the Alliston Hornets by winning
Game 2 in the OHA Quarter Finals by a score of 7-6. This was a back
and forth game and seemed to the team to score last would win.
Walkerton went up 1-0 on a goal by Jordan Turcotte. Alliston would
respond on the powerplay. Only to have Walkerton come back with
their own PP goal. Alliston would than score 2 shorthanded goals.
Just over a minute later Walkerton would tie it up. 3-3 after 1.
The 2nd was the same as each team traded goals. Alliston would score
early in the 3rd and looked like that would be it. Walkerton
wouldn't let that happen and scored the next 3 goals to take a 7-5 lead.
Alliston would add a late goal, but that was it. Scoring for
Walkerton were Turcotte(2), Matt Hill, Andy Mitchell(3) and Haden
Campbell. Scoring for Alliston was Tanner Dockerty, Mike Campeau(3),
Dakota Brooks and Zenon Byblow. Jeff Flagler picked up the win
making 24 saves. Robbie Alsop took the loss making 20 saves. Alliston Takes 1st Sting The
Alliston Hornets have grabbed an early lead in the OHA Quarter Finals vs
the Walkerton Hawks. The Hornets took game 1 by a score of 5-1.
Walkerton ran into some penalty issues and gave up 4 powerplay goals.
Scoring for Walkerton was Matt Hill. Scoring for Alliston was Kyle
Montpetit, Matt Thompson, Dakota Brooks, David Leblanc and Zenon Byblow.
Jeff Flagler took the loss making 31 saves. Robbie Alsop picked up
the win making 22 saves. Walkerton Advances With Sweep, 5th Straight Title The
Walkerton Hawks have filled all the fingers on one hand. Walkerton
has now won the Western Jr C Title for a 5th straight season.
Walkerton swept Mitchell by taking Game 4, 7-4. Scoring for
Walkerton were Jordan Turcotte, Matt Hill, Adam Alexander(2), Haden
Campbell and Eric Lekun(2). Scoring for Mitchell were Tyler
Masson(2) and Jade Maxwell(2). Jeff Flagler picked up the win making
32 saves. Drew Reinhardt took the loss making 37 saves.
